Deloitte's latest Business Outlook is yet another cry for help from the business community that does not trust the Rockliff government and its so-called 'strong plan'.

Jeremy Rockliff's so-called 'strong plan' was a marketing exercise. It has been a complete dud that is leading to reduced services, record debt and is shedding jobs. The economy is forecast to shrink while this government limps on pretending everything is fine.
Deloitte confirmed that Tasmania is facing a jobs crisis. Employment is forecast to decline in Tasmania for the second year in a row and grow 36 per cent slower than the national average for the next five years.
Tasmania is the only state forecast to have GSP go backwards in 2024-25, and we are forecast to have the weakest economic growth in the nation through to 2030.
Instead of trying to spin the story and ignore what's right in front of them, Jeremy Rockliff's government should see this as a red alert.
It is time for a new plan. Jeremy Rockliff should tear up his unambitious marketing plan and engage with business on a proper, achievable jobs plan. We should focus on safe, secure, well-paid jobs, unleashing the private sector by getting big projects moving and fixing our planning system which is completely broken.
