Johns Hopkins Named Top Hospital for 2024-25 by U.S. News

Johns Hopkins University

U.S. News & World Report released its Best Hospitals 2024–25 Honor Roll on Tuesday, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital has again been named one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation.

This is the second year that U.S. News chose not to assign numerical rankings to the top 20 hospitals named to its annual Best Hospitals list. Last year, the publication changed the way it ranks hospitals—rather than assign numeric ranks to each of the top hospitals, all hospitals that scored enough points to earn Honor Roll status are listed alphabetically.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked No. 1 in Maryland, the Baltimore metropolitan area, and the mid-Atlantic region, which is made up of seven states and Washington, D.C. Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital both achieved top 10 rankings overall in their respective metropolitan and regional areas; and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center was recognized as a Best Regional Hospital for Equitable Access for excellent outcomes among underserved communities.

Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranks specialty practice areas. Twelve medical specialties at Johns Hopkins ranked among the top 10 of their respective fields, with rheumatology ranked No. 1 for the 20th consecutive year.
