Karakin Serious Crash

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Karakin on Saturday, 18 May 2024.

About 9:50pm, a white Toyota Landcruiser – driven by a 38-year-old man – was travelling west on Indiana Crescent.

The Toyota failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and struck a tree on the left side of the road.

A 37-year-old female front passenger received serious head injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital. The 38-year-old driver sustained broken ribs and was also conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital.

The children – aged 8,10 and 12 – sustained various non-life-threatening injuries and were conveyed to Perth Children's Hospital. They are all in a stable condition.
