Detectives are appealing for a rideshare driver and tradies to come forward with vital information about a shooting incident at Elizabeth Park.
About 5.15pm on Tuesday 8 August, police were called to Midway Road after reports of two men assaulting another man near Innes Street. It was reported that one man was in possession of a firearm which was discharged towards the victim.
A 23-year-old man sustained minor facial injuries as a result of the assault and did not require medical treatment.
Two men, aged 28 and 40, were quickly located and arrested and face serious charges of aggravated robbery and discharge firearm to injure/annoy or frighten a person.
They have both been remanded in custody.
Northern District CIB detectives continue to investigate and have spoken to a several witnesses; however, they believe there may be key witnesses who hold crucial information that have not come forward.
They believe the two men had been passengers of a white Toyota Camry sedan, possibly a rideshare car, at the time of the incident.
Despite ongoing inquiries, the car and driver have not yet been identified and detectives urge the driver, who is not believed to have been involved in the incident, to contact police.
Witnesses reported a couple of white vans with trailers, presumably tradespeople, parked outside a nearby house. These workers may have seen the suspects on foot or the white Toyota drive past this property immediately after the incident.
Dashcam footage obtained (pictured) shows many vehicles travelled past the incident as it unfolded.
Detectives are also seeking any dashcam footage from anyone who was driving along Innes Street, Midway Road or Seaborough Road at Elizabeth Park, between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday 8 August.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that may assist the investigation can report it anonymously to police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
