Pride and support from the Karolinska ATMP Center
At the Karolinska ATMP Center, where Lindsay is involved in several initiatives, the appointment is being celebrated with great enthusiasm.
"Lindsay brings a unique perspective that bridges both research and policy development in the field of advanced therapies," says Knut Steffensen , Director of the Karolinska ATMP Center . "Her appointment to this leadership position is not only a recognition of her individual contribution but also a boost for Swedish and European representation in a globally significant organization."
Europe at the Heart of Future Therapies
ISCT works to translate groundbreaking research into clinically available treatments, with a strong focus on safety, efficacy, and collaboration. Davies sees particularly strong potential in Europe's role moving forward:
"Europe has a solid scientific foundation, but also a complex regulatory landscape. Through coordination and clear communication, we can pave the way for faster implementation of new therapies to the benefit of patients around the world," says Lindsay Davies.
