Kids got creative at the West Kempsey Pump Track recently to help a professional street artist paint and decorate the shipping container, thanks to an awesome event by Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre.

Kempsey Shire Council partnered with Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre, Community Housing Limited, Community Suicide Prevention and Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation to bring the Street Art @ the pump track event on Sunday 5 June.

Street art extraordinaire Damon Moroney brought ideas to life through amazing and colourful works, including a praying mantis, the Dunghutti totem, and children using the track. The Lion's Club then fired up the barbeque for a free lunch for all the hard working kids.

This event was made possible through a Council Community Grant.

The West Kempsey Pump Track Working Group will continue to bring events like this to the facility to support kids and young people in the community.

Check out the gallery below, or head to the track and check it out for yourself.
