In the wake of Jeremy Rockliff's outrageous decision to put all bar one of Tasmania's state-owned assets on the market I've been out and about talking to Tasmanians, and they're already disgusted by the Premier's plans.
When Tasmanians woke up to go to work today they will have switched on their lights and flicked the kettle on with power delivered from state owned electricity poles and wires.
Some Tasmanians will have driven to work, in the comfort they were covered for any serious injury by the state-owned MAIB.
Others will have caught the bus provided by the state-owned Metro.
Metro has already axed over 60 services on the eastern shore, and Jeremy Rockliff's plan to privatise Metro will only lead to more cancelled services, and higher bus fares.
These are services Tasmanians rely on, and services Tasmanians are already telling me are far too important to flog off to the highest bidder because Jeremy Rockliff needs a sugar hit to try and fix his busted budget.
Whether its buses, increased car registration costs or higher power bills, Jeremy Rockliff's plans mean that costs for these services will rise, and service levels will fall.
The Labor party will stand up against the Premier's fire-sale of Tasmania's state-owned assets at every turn, so Tasmanians can continue to rely on them.
