Kingston Unveils This Is Kingston Campaign

A hidden gem of Melbourne is set to be discovered thanks to the launch of the THIS is Kingston destination campaign.

Melbourne's best beaches, industrial nightlife, top-class dining options, diverse culture and spectacular natural scenery are all at hand within this emerging visitor hotspot.

Visitors and locals alike are invited to "Discover the Unexpected" in Kingston, located just 15 kms south of Melbourne's CBD. The City of Kingston is thrilled to announce the launch of the THIS is Kingston campaign, an exciting new initiative designed to highlight the diverse and unique experiences that make Kingston a hidden gem in Victoria.

From its stunning coastline to its vibrant cultural scene and expansive natural landscapes, Kingston offers a rich tapestry of experiences. The THIS is Kingston campaign aims to spotlight these hidden treasures, fostering local pride and attracting visitors from near and far.

The campaign heroes three core pillars – Coast, Culture, and Nature – each representing the unique facets of Kingston:

● Coast: 13 kilometres of some of Melbourne's best pristine beaches, breathtaking views, off-lead dog beaches and water activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing.

● Culture: Reimagined industrial precincts, thriving arts scene, diverse dining options, breweries and distilleries and dynamic markets that reflect the city's eclectic vibe.

● Nature: Scenic trails, vast green spaces, and peaceful wetlands ideal for nature enthusiasts

Kingston Mayor Jenna Davey-Burns shared her excitement.

"The southside vibe is definitely where it's at! We have so many hidden gems and hip local traders loved by our community making us the place to be. This is Kingston encourages everyone to discover the unexpected," Cr Davey-Burns said.

"We want to shine a light on the unique attractions that make our city so special. From our beautiful beaches to our bustling markets and underground art scene, Kingston has something for everyone. This campaign is all about sharing what we know and love with the wider Melbourne community and beyond."

Kingston's coastline is renowned for its beautiful beaches spanning and panoramic ocean views from Mentone to Carrum, making it an ideal destination for beachgoers and water sports enthusiasts. The coastal trails offer scenic routes perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling.

The vibrant cultural scene includes art galleries, live music venues, and vibrant festivals including the ever-popular MordiFest. Food lovers can explore a variety of dining options, from trendy cafes to high-end restaurants, while craft beer and spirit aficionados can enjoy tours and tastings at local breweries and distilleries.

Nature lovers will appreciate Kingston's numerous parks and reserves, such as Karkarook Park and Braeside Park in Kingston's Green Wedge, which provide peaceful retreats for picnics, birdwatching, and leisurely strolls and make you feel you've taken a country trip close to home.
