'The Koori Arts Biz program is designed to help Koori people establish or improve their creative businesses with information from professionals in their industries and communities,' said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.
'We are holding a series of information sessions about the program in October and we encourage prospective mentors and creative people to come along and hear about how the program will work.'
'After these information sessions attendees will be able to apply to be part of the workshop series.'
'There will be 10 business workshops focussing on topics like insurance, ATO requirements, and copyright alongside 10 artist led workshops that will feature a variety of artistic mediums, tools and tips.'
'Works created by the artists in this program will form a public exhibition at The Q Exhibition Space during NAIDOC Week 2024.'
The mentor information sessions are on Thursday 26 October and 2 November from 10am to 12pm in The Q Exhibition Space, Queanbeyan.
The artist information sessions are on Tuesday 24 and 31 October from 10am to 12pm in The Q Exhibition Space, Queanbeyan.
Lunch will be provided after each session.
