It is regrettable that Mr Winter, like his colleague the hapless Dr Broad, cannot count.
It is a matter of further regret that he cannot be bothered to fact check information.
TT Line advise that they have, in fact, put 20 additional sailings on in April, September and October 2025. This is ten times the amount falsely claimed by Mr Winter.
Mr Winter clearly does not grasp that an additional day sailing involves two trips: one ferry sailing from Devonport to Geelong and the other from Geelong to Devonport.
It simply underscores his ignorance of TT Line's business.
These sailings are, of course, on top of the 138 additional sailings already scheduled over the 2024/25 peak season by TT Line, with more to be announced.
Above and beyond the additional sailings released, TT Line is working to ensure passengers waiting to get a large vehicle or caravan on the Spirits can get a spot.
Regardless of Mr Winter's continued political posturing and negativity, we are getting on with the job of supporting Tasmanians.
