Tasmanian Labor stands for safe, secure and well-paid jobs, but the Liberal-Lambie coalition is cutting jobs in health because they've trashed the budget.
Earlier this week, RTI documents revealed more than 700 jobs are unfunded across the health system, with these jobs at risk of being cut under exposed vacancy control measures.
Following that, the ANMF stated that there are nearly 1,000 vacant nursing and midwifery positions across the state, which clearly aren't safe from the axe either.
Despite this, Jeremy Rockliff is still avoiding answering questions about the extent of the Liberal-Lambie cuts - leaving Tasmanian patients and health workers in great uncertainty.
Tasmania's health system is sick enough, the last thing it can afford is the Liberal-Lambie health cuts.
That's why Labor will be using the winter parliamentary recess to make sure Tasmanians understand the damage the Liberal-Lambie budget will do to the health system.
Tasmanian Labor stands for safe, secure, well-paid jobs and we're campaigning against the Liberal-Lambie health cuts.
The Government's focus should be on improving health services and conditions for the dedicated workers who deliver them - not cutting health workers' jobs.
