Labor Welcomes TCCI's Marinus Policy 02 March 2025

Tas Labor

Tasmanian Labor welcomes today's release of the TCCI's priorities for the upcoming federal election, particularly its policy regarding Marinus Link.

Labor took a policy to the last state election to get Tasmania off the hook for Marinus, and we stand by it.

The TCCI has said that Marinus Link I and II should be regarded as nationally significant infrastructure. Labor agrees.

Marinus is a critical project for the nation, and it's too important to stuff up. The Rockliff minority Government's track record with the Spirits shows exactly why the Australian Government should be the one responsible for building it.
