The NSW Labor Government today celebrated 100 days in government while families in regional NSW face a growingly uncertain future with mounting cost of living pressures.
NSW Nationals Leader Dugald Saunders said Labor ended its first 100 days by breaking election promises and cutting spending to regional NSW.
"If you start how you intend to finish then this government is heading for disaster," Mr Saunders said.
"The biggest disappointments are the broken promises to the people of NSW.
"Before the election Chris Minns said he would 'roll over' the $250 Active Kids Voucher which is available to all parents. In government, Labor is cutting the voucher, meaning kids will miss out on participating in sporting activities."
Mr Saunders said Labor claimed that removing the public sector wage cap would not cost the state any money with savings made through productivity gains.
"We have now discovered the true cost of their wages policy will be $2.5 billion over four years," he said.
Mr Saunders said it hasn't been an easy 100 days in regional NSW.
"The Labor government has accused regional seniors of rorting the Regional Seniors Travel Card in a public bid to cut the popular cost of living measure.
"The NSW Nationals are 100 per cent behind the seniors travel card and will fight to save the Regional Apprentice and University Student Travel Card which has also been targeted to be cut by the government.
"Major infrastructure projects like the 11-kilometre tunnel through the Blue Mountains between Blackheath and Little Hartley will likely be scrapped under Labor.
"The Labor Government has also indicated it will cut funding to raise the Wyangala Dam Wall and not proceed with plans to build a new dam in Tamworth.
"The NSW Nationals will continue to hold the government to account when it looks to slash funding from regional NSW," Mr Saunders said.
