Labor's Childcare Hypocrisy

Roger Jaensch,

Labor has no credibility or solutions when it comes to early childhood education and care.

Their promises at the last election were a complete hoax.

Only the Tasmanian Liberal Government has strong, fully-funded policies to expand the childcare sector and invest in its workforce, as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.

Labor was quick to change their policy after being called out for their hoax costings to build 30 new early childhood centres.

They also promised to build a childcare centre at the Launceston General Hospital, and run childcare centres in schools, both with no funding attached.

The Labor party relies on talking points and platitudes, not coherent, costed policies.

While Labor continues to snipe from the sidelines, the Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering on our commitments through our 100 Day Plan.

They include establishing an Early Years Workforce Development Fund with $5 million, committing $10 million to establish new outside school hours care services on primary and district sites in partnership with local ECEC providers in areas of need.
