Labor's false claims of funding cuts to digital health is another massive costing blunder from an Opposition that is clearly not up to the job.
Labor are claiming there is a $7.2 million cut for digital health – but if they had bothered to read the Budget papers, they would see we've actually brought forward $7.2 million in funding for 2024-25*.
This means that instead of cutting, we've actually spent the money sooner, in this financial year.
How can Labor claim we've cut funding, when we've already spent it?
This is another embarrassing own goal from the Opposition, and again calls into question their ability to manage the budget – given they can't even read the budget papers.
To be 100% clear, our Government is absolutely committed to our 10-year $476 million Digital Health Transformation Strategy, ensuring Tasmania's health system is transformed into a world-class, innovative and integrated system.
We will deliver on our commitments and the 2025-26 Budget invests another $30 million in 2028-29.
The Leader of the Opposition should correct the record.
