The Member for Pembroke has launched an attack on the Labor Leader after he revealed his secret plan to hike up charges and gouged Tasmanians through Government Business price hikes.
Mr Winter says his plan to balance the budget is to make Government Businesses 'more profitable'.
Treasurer Guy Barnett said that's code for higher power prices, higher car rego, higher bus fares and higher charges.
"The constituents of Pembroke need to know the only person committed to higher power bills, higher car regos and higher charges is their member's leader Mr Winter," the Treasurer said.
"The Labor leader has announced his plan to fund government services through more profitable government businesses.
"Excluding Hydro government businesses return less than $190 million per year to the bottom line. That's an awful lot of charges that'll need to be hiked for Mr Winters so called plan to fund the billions in services Tasmanians deserve.
"Mr Winter has chosen a path of higher charges, rather than listen to the business community's pleas to support our Government's ambitious plan that invests in Tasmania's future.
"Tasmanian Government businesses should deliver services to Tasmanians at the lowest sustainable cost while also growing our economy and engaging with business and community in a constructive manner as outlined in our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.
"Only the Tasmanian Liberal Government has a sensible pathway to surplus, that will also grow our economy while backing business and jobs."
