Lake Alexander has reopened for swimming and other recreational water activities as of this afternoon, Wednesday 12 February 2025.
Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said the results of water quality tests showed the lake met the NT Recreational Water Quality Guidelines, making it suitable for swimming.
"We are pleased to re-open Lake Alexander to the public," Mr Vatskalis said.
"We will continue to monitor the water quality and will undertake regular sampling to ensure the appropriate levels required for swimming are met," he said.

Lake Alexander has been closed since 10 January after elevated bacteria levels were detected and continued to be detected during frequent water quality monitoring throughout January and February.
