18 JULY, 2024 Kempsey junior Darby Lancaster will make his Wallabies debut, selected to start on the wing for Saturday afternoon's Test against Georgia at Allianz Stadium.
The 21-year-old established himself via the 2022/23 HSBC Sevens World Series and was impressive for the Junior Wallabies in last year's World Rugby U20 Championships.
He'll join an otherwise unchanged back three, with last weekend's dual try-scorer Filipo Daugunu on the right edge and Tom Wright at fullback for the Test which has a family friendly kick off of 3:45pm.
Wallaby number 896 Allan Alaalatoa will captain the side for the first time in his home city of Sydney, joining Isaac Kailea and Billy Pollard, who both earn their first starts in the front row.
Nick Frost returns to Wallaby gold for the first time in 2024, combining with Angus Blyth, who will make his starting debut, in the second row.
Reds back rower Harry Wilson will play his first Test since 2022, named to start at number eight with his club teammate Fraser McReight and Rob Valetini at openside and blindside flanker respectively.
Tate McDermott and Ben Donaldson will combine in the halves, the latter playing just his second Test on home soil and his first in his home city.
Brumbies outside centre Len Ikitau is another who returns to the side, rekindling his partnership in the midfield with Hunter Paisami.
Alex Hodgman has the opportunity to join rare company as just the fourth man to represent both New Zealand and Australia in Test Rugby, named as the substitute loosehead prop. He's joined in the reserve front row by last week's debutant and fellow Queensland Reds Josh Nasser and Zane Nonggorr.
Bathurst-born Tom Hooper and Jeremy Williams will provide cover for the second and back row.
Nic White and Noah Lolesio have been named as the replacement halves pairing, with Andrew Kellaway to cover a number of positions in the backline.
Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said: "Georgia have proven to be a very tough team to play as demonstrated by their wins against Italy and Wales in recent years, as well as their victory last week in Japan."
"They have added some very exciting backs to their traditional forward strength and challenge opponents across the park."
