A restless Hervey Bay man, tossing and turning late into the night, decided to check his Weekday Windfall ticket—a decision that spun his sleepless night into a $1 million whirlwind. Maybe deep down, he had a hunch something big was coming!
The Fraser Coast resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall, drawn Friday 18 October 2024 and looks forward to a neat $1 million. With his bank account about to be boosted, the excited man eagerly looked forward to upgrading his car and paying off his mortgage.
The Queenslander admitted to feeling jittery all weekend, struggling to believe he might actually be clutching a winning ticket worth $1 million.
“I’ve been stressing all weekend. I kept thinking to myself, ‘Is it real? How do I receive the prize?’.
“I couldn’t sleep in the wee hours of the morning, and I decided to have a look at my Weekday Windfall ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it. I think I’ve looked at the ticket about 100 times.
“I woke my wife up shortly after that. It was 3.30am and she wasn’t having a bar of it. She didn’t believe it.
“I’m still in complete disbelief.”
With his bank account about to be boosted, the excited man shared he had already developed plans for his prize.
“I’ll probably put it towards a new car and pay off the mortgage,” he revealed.
“I’d love to buy a large ute. One that I can put a caravan on.
“What a shock to the system!”
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4457 on Friday 18 October 2024 were 29, 28, 30, 4, 37 and 42, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 19.
