MLA's Livestock Advisor Essentials, a southern-focused pilot professional development program designed for early career professionals involved in the livestock industry, launched at the beginning of 2021.
After two successful workshops in feedbase management, delivered by John Francis, and the fundamentals of business, delivered by Basil Doonan, the opportunity now exists for participants to register for the final two workshops, Meating the Market and Influence and Impact.
Meating the Market will be delivered by Elke Hocking, a private consultant specialising in supporting livestock producers to produce high yielding beef and lamb that meets consumers' expectations in terms of eating quality, nutrition and safety. Through the Meating the Market workshop, participants will learn how to analyse customer feedback and assist their clients to identify and discuss possible on-farm solutions to compliance issues.

Influence and Impact will be delivered by Jill Rigney, an expert in human engagement. Through the Influence and Impact workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of human engagement, plus processes and frameworks for sustained influence.
