The AMA Fees List has provided an update for AMA members and Fees List subscribers.
The AMA Fees List has been updated as of 6 August 2024. This update reflects changes to the plastic and reconstructive surgery services introduced on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) on 1 July 2023, general practice level E attendance items introduced on the MBS on 1 November 2023, and several miscellaneous changes.
The MBS item changes were made to align with current medical services and clinical practices, implement co-claiming restrictions to reduce improper claims, and enhance clarity for consistent item claiming.
This update includes changes to a total of 409 AMA items, including 379 plastic and reconstructive surgery items, 16 GP level E items, 14 miscellaneous items, and the renaming of 1 section subgroup.
These changes are now updated in the AMA Fees List and are available on the Fees List website, including PDF and CSV files for download.
