Mayor Kate Makin said Council was keen to support local businesses, community enterprises, creative industries and new businesses looking to establish in Corangamite.

"This new funding scheme is a broader approach to supporting the arts, culture, tourism and a circular economy," Cr Makin said.

"It is an initiative that has come out of our Grow and Prosper Plan for Corangamite.

"The scheme supports traditional business and economic development like we have previously.

"But it also recognises the importance of projects that activate public space and encourage people to visit, invest and spend time here.

"These initiatives all combine to make Corangamite a great place to live," Cr Makin said.
