The Tasmanian Liberal Government is a proud supporter of events right around Tasmania, and today celebrates the launch of the East Coast Harvest Odyssey (ECHO) for 2025.
ECHO is coming into its sixth year, and since inception has been supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania.
Liberal Member for Prosser, Kerry Vincent, highlighted the importance of regional events.
"For a decade the Tasmanian Liberal Government has backed these important regional events," he said.
"We have invested $130,000 over three years to support ECHO, and it's clear this investment helps shine a light on the best the east coast has to offer.
"Events are key to Tasmania being a brilliant place to live, work and raise a family, and have a huge positive impact on our visitor economy."
ECHO is a key Tasmanian arts and cultural event that celebrates the east coast community, with a focus on showcasing the best of our agribusiness sector.
Mr Vincent formally launched the event today.
"ECHO is a highlight of the East Coast events calendar and each year brings visitors from around the State and country to my own backyard," Mr Vincent said.
"Tasmanians know just how incredible the East Coast is, and our events do an incredible job of showing it off to the world.
"I'd like to congratulate Ange Boxall and her team for what's set to be another brilliant festival next year."
Support for Tasmania's event portfolio is part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future and continues to drive visitation right around the State all year round.
