Lennox Park Overhaul Commences Oct 9: Ballina Shire Council

Lennox Park upgrade starting Monday 9 October

Ballina Shire Council wishes to advise that Stage 7 of the Lennox Village Vision project, the Lennox Park Upgrade, will commence on Monday 9 October 2023.

Stage 7 works will include a new bus stop, amenities, footpaths, and landscaping. The shelter shed will be retained and renovated.

Once complete, this stage of works will enhance Lennox Head's green space providing better shade and recreation for our community.

During construction, the following changes will be in place:

  • Lennox Park, weather shelter and beach access will be closed from Monday 9 October and is expected to be reopened by Christmas.
  • The toilet and bus stop will be closed from early November until early 2024. The toilet block is a significant piece of work that requires a complete demolition and rebuild. The toilet at Ross Park will remain open during these works.

Importantly, Ballina Street will remain open both ways during these works.

Parking adjacent to the site will be removed for the duration of the works to enable safe site access. The southbound bus stop at Lennox Park will be temporarily relocated in early November, further notices will be provided at the time.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the community and businesses for their patience as we complete this major project.
