In what is effectively an admission of its addiction to wasteful spending, the Minority Rockliff Government has failed to defend the Associate Secretary positions it created.
Yesterday, Labor committed to abolishing the positions, which would save approximately $8 million across the forward estimates.
The Liberals' response? Government roles are currently under review.
If these positions had value you'd expect the government would stand up and explain to Tasmanians why they were essential.
Premier Rockliff can't manage money. He's bankrupted the state with wasteful spending like this and now he's selling off Tasmania's assets to pay down his debt.
