Library Lovers' Day - Have Blind Date With Book

This Library Lovers' Day, Hawkesbury Library Service invites book lovers to take a chance on a mystery read at their upcoming event: Blind Date with a Book.

From Sunday 9 February to Sunday 16 February visitors can pick up a specially wrapped book and take it home – without judging it by its cover. Each book is carefully selected, wrapped, and labelled with a few intriguing hints about its contents. Will it be a thrilling mystery, a heartwarming romance, or an inspiring adventure? There's only one way to find out!

Blind Date with a Book is a fun way to encourage readers to discover something new. You never know—you might just fall in love with a book you never expected to read!

The event is free, simply visit the Central Library in Windsor or Richmond Branch during opening hours and choose your mystery book.

What is Library Lovers' Day?

On February 14, public libraries all over world celebrate the valuable role that libraries play in their lives.
