Library Return Chutes Works

In March we started works to replace the returns chutes at 5 of our libraries. New chutes allow you to return multiple items at once at Ashburton, Camberwell, Greythorn and Hawthorn Libraries.

Balwyn works have now commenced. While the returns chute is closed, the library remains open and we will provide alternative options to return your items.

About the works

Once each return chute has been installed, you'll be able to return multiple items at once, saving you time.

Return chutes at each library will be closed at times during the works but alternative locations to return your items will be available.

Works will occur during and outside library opening hours, including in the evenings. Minor noise disruptions may occur during the works outside library opening hours.

Works may occur at the following times:

  • weekdays between 6 pm and 9 pm
  • Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and 5 pm.
