We're upgrading the sportsground lighting at Donald MacDonald Reserve in Beaumaris to improve infrastructure and support night sports.
These essential works are scheduled for the first half of 2025. These will include installing new poles, crossarms, and footings.
We will replace outdated halide lights with energy-efficient LED luminaires. We will install new conduit and cabling and modify the switchboard to support the upgrade.
There will be minimal impacts on users while we undertake this upgrade.
These upgrades will improve lighting quality, reduce environmental impacts, and support safe and sustainable use of the reserve for years to come.
We prioritised this upgrade following a sportsground lighting review. The upgrades reflect our commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure for the community.
