The communities of Swan Hill and Robinvale will soon be shining brightly, when they showcase spectacular light displays, for the region to enjoy.
Director Development and Planning Heather Green said Council was delighted to be bringing two breathtaking light shows to the municipality.
"'Yana Waingi,' meaning Walk in Lights, will run from 21-30 April in Swan Hill. Participants will journey through a spectacle of light and sound at Riverside Park, Swan Hill.
"'Kartini Waingi,' meaning Water Lights, will run from 4-7 May in Robinvale. It will be an unforgettable night-time water laser show experience, showcasing the vibrant, diverse and rich culture of Robinvale," Ms Green said.
Ms Green said both shows were set to be impressive and connect visitors to the rich history and culture of our region.
"In Swan Hill, participants can expect to explore light sculptures, laser effects, interactive projections and magical holograms - engaging and immersing visitors with a showcase of history, art, community icons and First Nation culture - right throughout Riverside Park.
"There will be five different major activation locations to explore around the Park, supported by extensive tree lighting effects, each installation zone will be a unique tribute highlighting the indigenous stories of the region in addition to many of the iconic flora, fauna and heritage of the area.
"In Robinvale, the show will be projected on water and set along the banks of the Murray River," Ms Green said.
Ms Green said that it would be fun for the entire family, as well as an interactive way to learn about our region's rich history.
Kartini Waingi (Robinvale) tickets will only be available at the gate.
