Liquor Licence Suspension In Alice Springs 8 July

Northern Territory Police have served a notice of suspension on two licensed premises both located on Todd Street in Alice Springs.

This decision follows a serious incident involving riotous conduct by patrons of the premises early on Sunday morning in Todd Street.

Acting Southern Commander Drew Slape said, "The Northern Territory Police is dedicated to safeguarding public welfare by enforcing regulations aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm in our local community.

"The temporary suspension of licensed premises under Section 258 of the Liquor Act for 48 hours exemplifies our steadfast commitment to responsible sale and supply of alcohol in the community

"We appeal to all licensed venues to prioritise the welfare and safety of patrons and our broader Territory community. We would also emphasise the importance of responsible alcohol consumption and of the adherence to laws and regulations governing licensed venues."
