To support the restocking of food and fuel supplies into the Lismore/Alstonville/Byron Bay areas the below route has been made available for GML B-Double access. Drivers should follow the directions of on road crews and detour signage.
From Brisbane
via Pacific Motorway – Ross Lane Interchange Tintenbar – Tamarind Drive – Titenbar Road – Teven Road – Bruxner Highway to Lismore.
This access route has been put in place to support the current emergency. Care should be taken when drivers are travelling on alternative routes.
No heavy vehicles will be allowed to pass Chinderah that are travelling to Sydney as the Pacific Highway is flooded further south. Police are on scene at the Chinderah Service Centre to help Transport for NSW filter traffic.
Getting essential supplies to these communities devastated by the flooding is a priority. Please forward this information onto any freight operators who transport supplies to these areas.
