The Property Council today welcomed news that LIV Golf will move to North Adelaide from 2028 and bring investment into the strategically located golf course.
South Australian Executive Director of the Property Council, Mr. Bruce Djite said as part of its election platform in 2022, the Property Council called for the state government to transform the golf course to an international standard, to attract business and leisure tourists from key markets.
"Before LIV Golf was even on the map in South Australia, the Property Council called for state government to reimagine how investment in the city's golf course could be a catalyst for investment and business in our city," Mr Djite said.
"Further investment in our Riverbank Precinct and activation of the parklands will make a bold statement about our confidence as a city to put ourselves forward on the world stage.
"The proximity of this golf course to the Adelaide Oval, Riverbank Precinct and the CBD is an asset that should be leveraged to showcase our city as an experience destination.
"The property industry thrives on certainty and confidence and the fact this world class tournament in now locked in until 2031 is a game changer."
