The c Partnership Group is seeking expressions of interest from people passionate about mental health who feel strongly about the wellbeing of young people to train as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

This exciting opportunity is free, with all relevant training costs covered. Once trained, the Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor will be able deliver Youth Mental Health First Aid in the community.

In 2021, Central Goldfields were fortunate to be chosen as a Live4Life community due to the collective efforts of Council, schools and services who recognised the need for more support for our young people.

Mayor Cr Liesbeth Long said that Live4Life was vital for Central Goldfields, as youth in the regions face very different challenges to those in the big cities.

"I've experienced firsthand how devastating poor mental health can be for our younger community members. That's why upskilling the community to be able to support our young people is such an important and vital role. Having Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructors trained right here, in Central Goldfields, will help us to continue to build mental health awareness and our capacity to respond to young people when they fall on hard times."
