Living In Eurobodalla: Cricket Nets Restored

'Tis the season to have a hit down at the local cricket pitch, something Eric McMahon has looked forward to for quite a while.

"From its state of decay to its rebirth into a wonderful facility – it was great to watch," said Eric, who has been lobbying on Council's social media over the past two years. We counted at least 30 comments on mostly unrelated posts asking for the nets to be restored.

The good news finally came for Eric and our cricketing community - thanks to the Australian Cricket Infrastructure fund, $92,482 was put towards upgrades at Dalmeny, Bodalla and Moruya – which included the new nets at Gundary.

Now anyone can go down and have a hit. What's also exciting is Council, Cricket NSW, local clubs and schools are investing in the shire's cricket strategy to increase participation.
