Eurobodalla's teenagers and young adults have a chance to shape the future of their shire with a special event this month.
We know young people across the country, and the world, rate climate change as one of the things they are most worried about for their future. So we're giving them the chance to speak their mind at a youth climate summit.
Organised by Council's youth committee, the event brings young people together to brainstorm different ways to implement Eurobodalla's Climate Action Plan in daily life.
The event is a safe space for young people to voice what is important to them, talk out the collective changes they'd like to see on climate issues.
Hosted by young climate-advocacy leaders Rat Brodie (Australian Youth Climate Coalition's national schools program manager) and Cliodhna Maguire (the Sydney Botanic Garden's youth community officer), the event is an opportunity for young people to voice what is important to them, talk out the collective changes they'd like to see on climate issues while gaining an in-depth understanding of climate concepts.
The 'All For One' 2024 youth climate summit will run at Moruya's RSL Memorial Hall on Thursday 24 October, 9.30am-3.30pm.
