AAIB attends memorial service honouring the 270 lives lost in the air and on the ground
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) attended the 36th anniversary memorial service of the Lockerbie air disaster in December, honouring the 270 lives lost both in the air and on the ground. Last month's commemoration particularly recognised the dedication of the first responders who worked tirelessly in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Representing the AAIB staff who investigated this tragedy were two inspectors - one current and one retired - who attended to pay their respects. We were honoured to contribute a plaque to the 'Wall of Honour' commemorating the victims of this devastating event back in 1988.
