Tropical Cyclone Trevor has left Cape York and tracking across the Gulf of Carpenteria.
Police continue to work closely with local Mayors, their respective councils, QFES, SES, Ergon, Queensland Health, Department of Transport and Main Roads, Building and Asset Service, Department of Communities, Department of Environment and Science and Queensland Ambulance, to clean up and reconnect communities with services.
Officer in Charge of Lockhart River, Sergeant Liam Duffy and Senior Constable Lisa Hudson took to the skies this morning to reach isolated residents in the Portland Road community.
"Once we were in the air, we were in a position to see the destruction Trevor caused", Sergeant Duffy said.
"Our isolated residents in were grateful for our visit we were able to give them a good will basic box of goodies to help out."
