KEY CHANGES
Belmore River and Kinchela Creek flood relief gates are now CLOSED.
Some areas remain isolated due to road and bridge closures.
Further roads and structures may have sustained damage. If a road or bridge is closed, please do not proceed until Council has had time to inspect and reopen the route if it is safe to do so.
Please exercise caution, never drive through flood water and prepare accordingly.
The Macleay River Level at Georges Creek, Bellbrook and Smithtown has now fallen below the minor flood level.
Minor flooding is occurring at Kempsey and further rises remain possible with forecast rainfall.
Please monitor livetraffic.com.au, Kempsey Shire Council's Website and Facebook page for road updates.
Please do not enter flood waters and follow advice from the emergency services. Avoid structures that are flooded as structural damage can occur.

FLOOD WARNING
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Minor to Moderate Flood Warning #14 for the Macleay River at 9.54am, on Tuesday 11 March 2025.

Council's Customer Service counter is OPEN. The after hours call centre can be reached on 6566 3200 outside of business hours.
Waste collections to South West Rocks, Arakoon and Crescent Head are affected by floodwaters and road closures. Please leave bins out for collection as Cleanaway will resume services as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding.
