About 4:30pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were called to a fire at Amstel Park on Amstel Corner. DFES were able to extinguish the fire before it reached nearby homes. The fire burnt approximately 1000 metres of vegetation.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and Strike Force Vulcan officers urge anyone with CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the above area taken between 4pm and 5pm, to upload the vision direct to them via the link:
