A man has had his licence immediately suspended after allegedly driving at more than five times the legal limit in Maidstone last night.
Officers from Footscray observed a white Toyota van travelling along Jackson Street about 7.30pm on Tuesday 15 October.
It is believed the van had been involved in a collision before police located it.
They intercepted the van and the driver, a 62-year-old man from Maidstone, underwent a preliminary breath test.
He returned to the station with officers and returned an alleged evidentiary sample of .257.
His licence was immediately suspended and he is expected to be charged on summons for traffic offences.
