We're raising the bar for outdoor fun at Hanby Street Reserve playground in Brighton this autumn.
Starting on 24 March 2025, we are upgrading the Hanby Street Reserve playground - installing fresh new equipment, including installing slides, swings, climbing ropes, spinners and rockers and making improvements to pathways, seating, drinking fountains and landscaping.
The playground will be closed from March until June while we undertake the upgrade, weather permitting, but you can swing across to the nearby playgrounds at Whyte Street or Lucas Street Reserve.
Existing trees will be preserved during the works, while new shade trees and associated landscaping will be planted.
The upgrade is part of our Playground Improvement Plan and will be closely followed by a playground upgrade at Whyte Street, Brighton.
This project showcases our commitment to creating and protecting inclusive, liveable and sustainable spaces for all to enjoy.
