Malaysia Invites Global Bids for 2024-2025 Programme Fund

This call for bids is for project proposals which aim to support work on institution-building in Malaysia, including good governance and democratisation efforts.

We are looking to support projects in this area by government agencies, civil society organisations, academic or research-based organisations, or multilateral partners.

We are particularly interested in project proposals that aim to deliver in one or more of the following areas:

  • assisting government bodies and key institutions in improving their governance processes and structures
  • supporting transparency in governance and public life, including e.g. political financing
  • supporting parliamentary reform and institution-building
  • increasing cooperation between policy makers and civil society on improving transparency, accountability and good governance in Malaysia
  • increase cooperation between policy makers and civil society on improving transparency, accountability and good governance in Malaysia
  • capacity-building or other measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts

Project timeline and budget

Projects will run from 1 July 2024 to 28 February 2025, with no expectation of funding beyond this period. Maximum budget limit is £25,000.

Assessment

Bids will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • alignment with the aims and description above
  • outcomes are achievable and measurable within the funding period
  • the organisation's safeguarding policies that ensure protection of beneficiaries including supporting gender equality and social inclusion markers
  • feasibility of project delivery under current circumstances
  • overall value for money

Project implementer must have:

  • experience and expertise in project management
  • ability to work collaboratively and engage with relevant stakeholders
  • ability to produce clear, concise and high quality project reporting in English
