More than 52,000 jobs have been created since the State Election according to latest jobs data, enough to fill Adelaide Oval.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) says in the month of December over 5000 more jobs were created.
While South Australia's unemployment rate increased by 0.3 percentage points to 4.2 per cent in December, just 0.2 percentage points above the national rate, this was due to an increase in participation.
Today's total jobs count is the second highest in South Australia's history, only behind October 2024.
It follows the latest ABS job vacancies data, showing South Australia's labour market is continuing to outperform the nation, with the highest percentage increase in job vacancies in the three months to November.
The ABS has revealed SA's job vacancies have jumped by 18 percent, nearly 13 percentage points above the national increase of almost 5 per cent.
There are now 23,000 job vacancies in South Australia, more than 50 per cent above the decade average.
Almost 952,000 people are employed in South Australia.
