A man has been arrested after allegedly ramming a police vehicle in Tarneit early this morning.
Officers caught sight of a silver Ford Ranger allegedly swerving all over the road on the Princes Freeway near Laverton about 1am.
The Ford allegedly continued to drive after police attempted to intercept the vehicle.
Police kept eyes on the vehicle as it travelled along Palmers and Sayers roads in Tarneit.
It's alleged that the Ford narrowly missed colliding with a truck on Forsyth Road.
The Ford eventually came to a complete stop on Dylan Street, before allegedly reversing into a police vehicle.
Officers moved in and the alleged driver surrendered to police.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and will be interviewed.
The Ranger was impounded at a cost of $1225.
