Man arrested after robbery at Underdale, SA

Quick work by patrols has led to a man's arrest at Underdale this afternoon, according to SA Police.

About 2.30pm, Sunday 24 September, the victim was driving on Hardys Road when a man allegedly stepped out in front of his car forcing him to stop. The suspect punched the victim in the face before stealing his mobile phone and car keys before running off. Patrols apprehended the suspect close by on North Parade in possession of the phone and keys.

The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he remains with non-life threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old man from Barmera was charged with aggravated robbery, resist police and failing to state details. He has been remanded in police custody and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Monday 25 September.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have any dash cam vision of the incident or of the area at the time is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
