One man was arrested and two firearms recovered during a police search of a property at Lonsdale today.
On Thursday 16 September, officers from Firearms Branch searched the Liston Road, Lonsdale property with assistance of Southern District police and specialist resources, including Police Dog Uri.
During the search, police allegedly located a loaded handgun and a rifle with ammunition, as well as prescribed drug equipment.
A 53-year-old Lonsdale man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated possess firearm without a licence, two counts of possess unregistered firearm, breach of the firearms code of practice and possess ammunition without a licence.
He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 17 September.
