Man Arrested During Robbery At Christies Beach

A man allegedly armed with a knife was arrested during an attempted servo robbery at Christies Beach overnight.

Police were called to the service station on Beach Road, Christies Beach just after midnight on Sunday 26 May and arrived within minutes to find the suspect still on scene.

It will be alleged the man was armed with a knife when he entered the servo and demanded cash. The attendant ran from the store and locked the suspect inside.

The officer arrived, entered the store and arrested and disarmed the suspect without incident.

A 34-year-old Aldinga Beach man was charged with attempted aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 27 May.
