Police have arrested a man following a series of fires in the Nowa Nowa area yesterday and today, Victoria Police say.
Police and CFA attended six small fires, believed to have been deliberately lit, near Nelson’s Track yesterday.
Today a fire was observed about midday in a remote location in Nowa Nowa followed by a second fire about 12.30pm.
The man was observed nearby and he was arrested at the scene.
No one was injured during the incidents and the 30-year-old man, of no fixed address, is currently being interviewed.
