A man has been arrested after investigation into a fatal crash in the States far north this morning, according to SA Police.
Just after 1am on Sunday 19 February, police were called to Fregon after a Toyota 4WD hit a van which in turn struck a pedestrian. The victim, a 43-year-old Fregon woman was taken to the Fregon Clinic but sadly died.
Officers from Major Crash and Major Crime attended the scene this morning to assist Port Augusta CIB detectives with the investigation. As a result detectives this afternoon arrested a 28-year-old man who is expected to be charged with manslaughter.
The Fregon man will be refused police bail and appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court tomorrow.
