A man has been arrested after allegedly ramming a police car in a stolen vehicle in St Kilda this morning.
Police were called to a car park on Lower Esplanade following reports of a man seen with a knife about 7.50am on 1 November.
As officers approached a Nissan vehicle in the car park, the driver of an allegedly stolen Lexus sedan rammed their unmarked police vehicle before fleeing.
There were no injuries to the officers and minor damage to the police car.
The driver of the Lexus, a 19-year-old Avondale Heights man, was arrested in the Burnley Tunnel about 8.30am.
He remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
